On or about July 25, 2008 a panel of representatives from the Utah Museum of Fine Arts will select five (5) finalists from each of the three (3) age categories. The Station will attempt to contact each winner as soon as possible using the information provided on the entry form.

These, and many, many more, are waiting to catch your eye and spark your interest in Utah’s heritage and culture. In addition to the heritage museums featured here, many cities have Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museums. On weekdays, the UMFA will validate visitor parking for up to 2 hours. Validations are available at the UMFA store. The party was a turning point for Sanguinetti, the spark that started friendships that have continued into the present. The internship will also familiarize the intern with projects and duties in all areas of a state park museum. The intern will spend a certain amount of time in other areas of the museum including visitor services: Provide visitors with area information, fee and gift shop sales collection. The visitor parking lot is east of the museum (the museum validates).

Materials used by these innovative book workers range from aluminum to leather to PVC. Numerous printmaking methods, calligraphy, photography, and other techniques produce both text and imagery. The museum’s ground floor contains the grand gallery, temporary galleries, an art education center, a bookstore, a café, and an auditorium. At the museum’s center, the fifty-five foot tall grand gallery serves as the most symbolic element of the building, surmounted by a semi-translucent clerestory and punctuated by a large projected window.
